Name: Aleyn
Desired Name: Kitestream
Age: 29 moons
Rank: N/A
Allegiance: Loners
Birth Moon: Pink Moon, 2014
Gender: Tom
Appearance: A large, fluffy, ginger-and-white tabby tom. He has dark ginger stripes in a mackerel pattern and his white is in a mask and mantle pattern. The white on his face reaches all the way up to his ears on the sides, and only to his eyes on the front. It doesn’t rise very high on his stomach. He has amber eyes. He uses his size to his advantage where he can, is well-suited to catching fish, and has adapted to hunting in forests.
Personality: Aleyn approaches life with an open mind and creative tendencies. He comes up with new ways to do things when he can, but for every good idea there tends to be a bad one. He tries to make a game out of everything and whenever there’s a new cat around that he enjoys the company of for a little bit he’ll often try to make things a friendly competition. He has a lot of confidence in his ideas and will often try things out more than once, even if they fail the first try. Failure doesn’t diminish his confidence either--he seems to always bounce back from whatever happens.
He’s friendly with everyone automatically and only fights when there is no other choice. He enjoys talking to others about anything and everything, going out of his way to make friends with those who live around him or often visit the area. He’ll even be friendly to cats that he gets into minor spats and skirmishes with, so long as those spats are only over small issues like a piece of prey, though if he dislikes them for some aspect of their personality he won’t be near as friendly, instead treating them with cool politeness.
He’s very trusting, especially with those he considers his friends. Unless there is something obviously off with what they’re saying, he’s likely to believe it entirely. He also has the tendency to jump to conclusions when only one side of the story is presented.
History: Aleyn was born to a kittypet father, Chase, and a feral mother, Honey. Honey was born and raised within the Twolegplace and she met Chase after choosing to settle permanently near where he lived. She had a litter of three by him, though only Aleyn survived the first moon. Despite Chase’s offer to take them both in, Honey enjoyed her life on the streets and wanted to raise her only remaining kit the same way. Chase and Honey quickly drifted apart, though she still brought Aleyn to see his father every once in a while.
Aleyn grew up hearing tales of the Clans that used to live in the forests and moors. Honey’s grandparents had been young apprentices in RiverClan when the Clans fell apart and Chase’s grandfather had ventured into the forest occasionally as a young cat, enough to have encountered a few ThunderClan cats. He always felt a bit drawn to the forest due to these tales, but chose to stay beside his mother.
When he was nearing fifteen moons his mother unexpectedly contracted an illness and died. Chase once again extended an offer for his son to join him, but Aleyn refused again. He stayed on the streets of Twolegplace for another three moons and then decided to finally satisfy his curiosity and venture into the forest.
He decided he liked it there far more than in the Twolegplace and he settled down nearby what was once Sunningrocks. He’s made his den there for the past nine moons, catching fish from the river and mice and birds from the forest. Occasionally he ventures back into the Twoleplace, but never for more than a quarter moon at a time.
For the past half moon or so Aleyn’s been having strange dreams about groups of cats, likely the Clans, on Sunningrocks or in the small island nearby it but just considers them products of thinking about his parents tales a little too much.
