Name: Robin
Desired Name: Robinfoot
Age: 10 moons
Allegiance: Loner
Birth Moon: Buck Moon 2014
Gender: Queen
Appearance: Robin is a small, lightly built chocolate calico. Solid chocolate and pale ginger tabby patches cover most of her fur, becoming dappled in places. Her paws and belly, extending up to her chin, are white. She has pink paw pads and a brown nose, and her eyes are a pale gold. She is quite lean with long limbs that are helpful for running or leaping. Her fur isn't quite as thick as that of most cats, making her more vulnerable to the cold, but at least it can't get caught on brambles and other prickly plants as easily.
Personality: Though young, Robin is very good at taking care of herself and prefers not to depend on others. She's wary and rather shy around cats she doesn't know, not giving away her trust or loyalty easily. She's extremely cautious, and thinks things through carefully, preferring to observe a situation for a time before acting. But in a fight or flight situation, she'll often panic and bolt. Aside from this, Robin remains cool and calm, not easily riled. When she does become distressed, she can usually hide her emotions well. Patience and optimism keep her going through life, and she holds firm to the belief that anything can be accomplished through hard work and perseverance. Combined with her independent nature, this makes her quite stubborn.
A WindClan cat by blood, she's quick on her feet and has good reflexes, and her legs are powerful enough that she can leap a considerable distance, making her great at catching rabbits and birds on the moor with the help of her littermates. She isn't so great at sneaking up on prey though. Fighting is one of her weaknesses, and she tries to avoid it if she can. She doesn't at all enjoy going into the forest, feeling trapped and enclosed among the trees. Open land is much more appealing to her, and she only goes into the forest when neccessary. She's also more hostile towards kittypets than other cats, perhaps because of her self-reliance. Kits bring out the more caring side of her, and it's a wonder that she doesn't have any in tow with her yet.
History: Robin was born in an old badger set on the moor, along with her three littermates, to her mother Briar, the granddaughter of a former WindClan apprentice. She never knew her father, who her mother described as "a passing rogue who seemed nice enough, but was too much of a coward to see his own kits." One of her littermates, a small, weak tom, died shortly after birth. Aware that he wasn't strong enough to live in the wild for long, Briar had pushed him away so that the three stronger kits could get enough milk. It was the cruel reality of survival, taught to the kits from an early age.
The other three kits, Robin, Moth, and Heather, grew up healthy and strong. Briar was a harsh and very practical mother, not very gentle but loving in her own way. She was particularly suspicious of twolegs, and would often warn the kits to be cautious around them and anything they had built. When she had her first litter in the barn at the edge of the moor, twolegs took all of them away one night when they were only a couple moons old. She had no intention of having that happen to her second litter. Briar also was rather antisocial, and the kits saw very few other cats in their lives until they separated from their mother. Occasionally, if she was in a good mood, Briar would tell the kits stories about the Clans, and sometimes the kits would play a game where they pretended to be WindClan warriors, using the little knowledge they had of them.
For a while, their life was uneventful. Briar would leave a couple times a day to hunt and find new bedding while the kits hid in the den, playing games while they waited for her to come back. Briar even began to teach the kits how to hunt when they started eating solid food. But one day, Briar decided to move the family to the forest for leafbare, where there would be more food and shelter from the cold. The move went well, and the family became more nomadic, sleeping under the pine trees one day, in an old hollow the next. When the kits were five moons old, they woke up on the first snow of the season to see that their mother had disappeared. Though they missed her, they continued on, staying close. A couple moons later, Moth left as well, followed by Heather.
Robin stayed in the forest for the rest of leafbare, despite her dislike for it, staying to take advantage of the prey and shelter that it offered. But as newleaf approached, prey became more plentiful and she began to think about moving out of the forest, perhaps back to the moors where she was born.
