"Doc" | Tom | 31 moons | Loner
Doc smiled softly, glad that Totori would allow him to stay in the barn. Though he didn’t think she owned it, he assumed she had found it first since he had followed Flame to it, and thus for the time being she was the temporary guardian of the place. She seemed like a nice cat, this Totori, and he hopes that over time she might become a friend. The barn on the other side of the moors was unbearable lonely these days, so perhaps getting out like this would prove to be more fruitful in gaining him friends, or if nothing else, allies.
The barn he lived in was still fairly new, only having been built a couple moons ago. He could hear far more mice in this barn than in his own, and it was likely because of how much older it was. It wasn’t dilapidated or anything, it just had the faint must of hay being stored there for eons.
Doc’s ears flattened in embarrassment when Flame asked, or rather stated, that the cat he had followed was her. “Yes,” he admitted, “I guess it is you that I saw, since I don’t see any other orange cats in here. I’m sorry for following you. It has been a long time since I last spoke to any cats, and I’ve forgotten some of my manners along the way.” He didn’t feel much better after explaining, especially from the look that Flame gave him. It had been wrong for him to follow her without announcing himself first, but she had been going so fast, how would she have even heard him?
“That’s right, nine moons,” he said, a bit more cautiously. He wasn’t sure how these cats would react to an ex-kittypet. “It’s been a bit rough, especially since on the other side of the moor there aren’t many friendly cats. I came this way to try to find someone that might be a bit more… what’s the word… amiable. I suppose I succeeded in finding what I was looking for.” Though he wasn’t too sure about that. While Totori definitely seemed like the kind of cat that would welcome him, Flame was a different story entirely. She seemed far more aloof, and he wasn’t sure she would ever forgive him for being a bit of a stalker.
