Name: Coal.
Desired Name: Crowfoot.
Age: 32 Moons.
Rank: Undetermined.
Allegiance: Rogue.
Birth Moon: Wolf Moon, 2014.
Gender: Tom.
{ Appearance }
Coal is a stocky, thick-furred tom with a predominately black pelt. A ruff of light gray fur wraps around the neck and his eyes are a very pale green. He is well-muscled and quite big, but doesn't appear to have many traits that would suggest he shares any heritage with a large breed cat such as the Maine Coon, Norwegian Forest Cat or Siberian. His left ear is torn at the very tip while a large v-shaped notch mars the right. His head is wide and muzzle broad ending in a black nose. The whiskers are medium length and white.

{ Personality }
In his younger years Coal was an aggressive tom who preferred to live on his own and guarded his territory ruthlessly. With kits and potentially certain she-cats being the only creatures that could bring any sort of soft side out of this rough and tough feral, he has become a rather infamous face around his forest home, being the cause of many scars marring the pelts of other cats. After teaming up with a small group of loners for a short time to survive the winter he learned the value of teamwork and living with companions. Now there isn’t anything Coal wouldn’t do to see WindClan returned to its former glory, as despite living in the woodlands for most of his adult life he has always loved the moors. While he still has a frighteningly short temper and is highly persistent at assuring his borders aren’t crossed by unwelcome guests, Coal has a loyal heart and nothing other than good intentions for those he becomes involved with.

{ History }
Born in a barn alongside his sister Raven as simply Coal. Their mother Shadow was the barn’s ratter and their father had simply been a passing rogue they never got the chance to meet as Shadow chased him off the property as soon as she realized she was pregnant. Shadow was of the opinion that no tom, not even the kits’ own father, could be trusted around them after hearing stories from other she-cats of toms murdering newborn offspring. Coal and Raven were her first litter and she was barely out of apprentice age herself. Shadow was incredibly inexperienced in the ways of motherhood, but there was never any doubt in either Coal or Raven’s mind that she loved them.
When he was around three moons old a pair of Twolegs the small family weren’t familiar with entered the barn. After picking her up Raven bit the offending Twoleg and was dropped, quickly scurrying to hide behind a bail of hay. Coal was more complacent and allowed himself to be handled. This proved a mistake on his part as the next thing he knew he was being carried to a strange beast and transported away from the only home he had ever known. Coal, then renamed Blackjack by his new housefolk, spent the next few moons in a small den near the edge of a vast forest. He was content, that is until his housefolk dumped him in an empty alleyway one night and never looked back. Heartbroken and confused, he wandered the streets trying to find his way back home. A fellow stray by the name of Benji ended up taking him in and showing him a few things, also convincing Coal that returning to his Twoleg’s den would only lead to more pain.
With a new hatred for Twolegs instilled in his heart, he left the Twolegplace altogether for the forest and marked out a territory for himself at the edge of the trees. Reclaiming his birth-given name, Coal caught on fairly quickly the life of a lone cat was cold and cruel, so he learned he had to be cold in return if he wanted to survive. The previous leaf-bare Coal began having mysterious dreams of cats who lived long ago in large groups. He pushed them aside for a time, but after hearing tales of the Clans he is beginning to wonder if they mean something. He made the decision to leave his den in the forest for the moor, making his new home in the remains of WindClan's old camp.
