Name: Ariana
Desired Name: Silverface
Age: 13 moons
Allegiance: Kittypet
Birth Moon: The Pink Moon, 2014
Gender: Queen
Appearance: As she is a Norwegian Forest cat, Ariana is larger than most cats and endowed with a large amount of long, fluffy hair. She is mostly gray with visible tabby stripes on her tail, face, and legs, along with paler ones on her back. Her four paws and chest are bright white and there is a streak of white on her muzzle up to her eyes. She has bright, olive colored eyes, white whiskers, and a pink nose and pink paw pads. She is very healthy, as she is kept inside for the most part and is vaccinated. She spends more time inside during the summer than during the winter because her thick fur makes dealing with the heat difficult.
Personality: Ariana is excited by anything, everyone, and at any time, even by the things others would call boring or otherwise dismiss. She’s still a bit immature in this aspect, as sometimes her excitement is very misplaced. She also has the tendency to jump between topic with no warning. If her mind thinks it, she says it, which means she has little to no filter. It can make conversations with her a bit confusing, depending on who she’s talking to, as she may suddenly turn to a totally unrelated topic as if it has equal importance to the previous one. And in her mind, it might.
She can also be self-centered, though this isn’t always intentional. She’ll dismiss other cat’s feelings in something or just not consider them sometimes due to not thinking, but even if it’s pointed out she’ll often just disregard the comment. An example of this being: Her thinking she needs to ask something and immediately going to ask it, without it even crossing her mind that the other cat is absorbed in some task. Whenever the other cat comments on how they were busy and it could have waited she ignores the comment or adds “Sorry” into her next string of sentences.
Despite this, she tries hard to be nice to everyone, including complete strangers. If someone appears to need help she’ll try and help them and if someone is upset she’ll try her best to find out what’s wrong and provide some measure of comfort. Though these actions, preformed with her own brand of enthusiasm, are not always wanted.
Breaking up arguments is something she’s good at, though she has the tendency to get sidetracked and start talking about something else. Which can sometimes help diffuse the tension, but that’s not normally her intention. What she tries to do is help the people in the argument find some kind of common ground. In some fights it’s not exactly effective though. She tries never to judge others unfairly, but she has been guilty of it in the past, both unknowingly and knowingly.
Ariana’s often naive as well. She tends to believe whatever she’s told, especially whenever it’s something that she can’t turn around and immediately ask someone else to double check. Often she doesn’t think things through, so something that appears obviously inaccurate to most she might think is true.
One of her greatest prides is her coat. Her mother always stressed the importance of keeping your fur looking nice and it carried over to Ariana, though she doesn’t comment on it to others like her mother seemed to be fond of doing. She tries her hardest to keep it looking nice though, no matter what. Besides, getting her fur wet or dirty can make some aspects of life hard, so it pays off to keep it neat. This can keep her from going outside for long stretches.
She’s always been very interested in the forest. She asks questions about it and the cats that live in it at any chance she gets. Originally she didn’t think to wander into the forest herself and didn’t want to ask any feral cats, so she was only rewarded with tales of the long disbanded Clans. When she finally got up the courage to ask a feral cat she learned about what actually went on in the forest and began to visit it every once in a while. She’s run into a few cats who chased her off and she’s such a horrible fighter that she suffered a few scratches, but none of those incidents have ever deterred her curiosity. She’s also tried to learn hunting by watching others and asking questions, more for the novelty of it than for any actual survival, but she still continues to fail miserably at the task.
History: Ariana was born to a purebred mother along with a sister, Ariel, and a brother, Oliver. Her father is unknown to her. When she was three months old she was adopted by a young couple who are in and out of the house for work and other things throughout the day. Ariana has a cat door and can go in and out as she likes, though she often elects to stay inside. She has been known to wander off for a couple of days before, though only when the ground was less snow covered.
