No cat knows what really happened, though some say it was the humans' fault. Whatever it was, it changed our world forever. Now we are forced to co-exist beside humans like we never have before, in the ruins of one of their vast cities. The Clans of old are gone forever, they simply could not survive in this new world, but from their ashes the Gangs rose in their stead. First the Guardians, clinging to the old ways, then the Scavengers and the Marauders, different as night and day, and finally the Renegades, a strange Gang of half warrior, half kittypets. Every so often you hear rumor of another Gang popping up somewhere in the city, but it rarely lasts long. Who knows, though? Another Gang could spring up one day, to rival the four that already compete for the scarce resources the city has to offer. Maybe you'll even start one, or maybe you're happy as a loner with no one to look out for but yourself. Good luck to you, urban warrior, whatever path you choose.
