I've been thinking about this for a long while now, and I've decided to finally put it into action. Due to the nature of TCR and the fact that time is always progressing, it’s important that we have a way to document all the events that have happened, big or small, without having to go digging blindly through the archives. Therefore, I’m introducing a new concept: the Timeline! Here’s how it works.
There is a brand new Timeline Documentation thread in the Game Discussion board, which you can see if you click right here. Every time a thread is finished, one of the players who participated in it will have to link to it in a reply to the Timeline Documentation thread. When a staff member is able to get to it, they’ll add it to the appropriate section of the Timeline and lock the thread so you know it’s been done. That’s it!
The official Timeline thread itself can be found here, and it contains one post per in-game moon that has elapsed, in chronological order. Each post will have an overarching summary of what happened during that moon, a mini-summary for each in-character group’s activities, and links to threads for each group organized chronologically. In addition to that, there will be a section for each group which details any character events that occurred within that moon, such as births, deaths, ceremonies, etc., including cats who were created into the game after the fact.
It’ll be a fair bit of work to keep everything in it up to date, but hopefully it’ll be a good resource for everyone! And of course, as it's a new feature on the site, don't hesitate to give feedback! If there's something you think would improve the way it works, let me know and I'll see what I can do about implementing it!
